Do you remember the last time you felt utterly stuck?

Have you felt utterly stuck recently? Maybe it was in a relationship, chasing a dream, or navigating the relentless waves of life. Feeling stuck is a universal part of our journey and in these raw unfiltered moments, we find our strength and path forward. In December of 2023, I had a hysterectomy to battle the chronic pain of endometriosis stage four. This journey has taken over 20 years of my life.

I was excited about the promise of relief but I did not realize that I would be immediately plunged into menopause. I knew that after the surgery there would be months of recovery but I was not expecting the hormonal changes to be so unbalanced. This brought upon a set of challenges including, not being able to sleep, night sweats, irritability, and weight gain. It was an emotional roller coaster and although I was happy to be pain-free, it was shadowed by all of these lows. I felt really alone, despite having a support system around me.

Asking for help is not a sign of weakness but of strength

I want to remind you that asking for help is not a sign of weakness but of strength. Being vulnerable and admitting that you need help is such a strong thing to do. My network of support coaches, mentors, family, and friends has been my lifeline. This has pushed me towards growth, healing, and self-discovery. One of the biggest things I realized was that although I felt alone, I was not alone I just needed to ask for more and voice what I was going through.

The importance of perseverance, grit, strength, and vulnerability

I am so grateful that I was able to get 90% of my disease removed because now I can function as a human without chronic pain. Perseverance, grit, strength, and vulnerability all play a part in the pursuit of your dreams and finding happiness. Loving yourself is key to all of this because it comes from within.

Following your intuition

In October of 2023, I was scrolling Instagram and it led me to a transformative experience. I came across the “Build Your Brand Live” event which was all about being seen in your brand and asking yourself how you are showing up and how you present yourself. I knew deep down that I needed to go. I did not know how I was going to make it work but I was trusting my intuition because it has never let me down before. My intuition has been my guiding principle in life because when I have got off course and not listened to it, bad things have happened. My intuition has led me down paths and shaped me into who I am today. I promise that if you learn to listen to yours, it will not steer you wrong.

Surrounding yourself with like-minded people

Since October I have been able to envision things for my life and business that I never thought possible. This is because I have been surrounding myself with people who are motivated to help others and are more successful than me. These are the types of people I decide to live my life around.

Age is just a number, you do not have to have it all figured out

I also want to remind you that age is just a number. I am 47 and I “should” be well into my career by now but I have decided to pivot. I have decided that rebranding and being an entrepreneur is totally okay. It is never too late to align yourself with your passion and purpose or pursue a new career. Sometimes we need to take a step back to catapult ourselves forward.

There are always ways to find support when you need it

I want you to know that you are not alone even though you might feel like it. Whether you are facing physical, emotional, or spiritual battles, it is okay to feel stuck. But I do not recommend lingering there long. Lean on your support system whether that is friends, family, coaches, or anyone else because this makes a huge difference. I am so grateful to have diversified support systems because this is helpful in all of my struggles. I am here to support you, guide you, and walk alongside you as you follow your dreams!
